World’s Fair at Cayon Crest

Melia Kawena had India at the 6th Grade World Fair

From 1:00 to 3:00 was the World Fair–Melia Kawena had India.  Jon went for his lunch hour.  Keala and Courtney went.  When Kalani got home from school, we went up to say hello, and then came right home.

I stlil feel pretty lousy–the wheels have definitely come off the bus.  I’m hoping when I get through all this steroid mess,  I’ll feel better.  This morning I took 1/4  tablet   (1 mg of Dexamethazone), then at lunch 2 mg of hyrocortizone in pill form.   –Hoping to make the transition to a more body friendly cortisol like hormone. (thr body naturally produces cortisol)

More fron the “Crucible of adversity”:

Before he became President of the Church, Pres Kimball wrote,  “Being human, we would expel from our lives physical pain and mental anguish and assure ourselves of continual ease and comfort, but if we were to close the door on sorrow and distress, we might be excluding our greatest  friends and benefactors.  Suffering can make saints of people, as they learn patience, long suffering, and self-mastery.” (Faith Precedes the Miracle. pg 98)–Love  to all…Melanie

I am sorry to hear that ‘all is not well’ right now. Hold strong, you are an amazing woman and can push forward, even if it is inches (or millimeters :) at a time. Our prayers are with you, take a bit of strength that so many are petitioning in your behalf for the ‘tender mercies’ of the Lord. joy

So Max, who just turned 3, is learning to talk. We figured we teach him how to pray. So when we get to the part “and bless Auntie Mel”, he says “bless Aunt American”. At least that’s how it sounds. DeLite says he’s trying to say “bless aunt Mel and Kim”. Just thought I’d let you know he’s praying for you, Aunt American…and maybe Kim, too:)

Well if anyone’s a saint you are, stay strong!!
