Our family is participating in a ward musical tonight. We are all busy getting our various numbers ready to perform. The musical is borrowing music from broadway music. The words are changed to fit our ward. We hope to be ready for these scenes: “Tradition (Fiddler on the Roof), “For Good” (Wicked), and a church cleaning piece from Les Miserable. Jon is doing a hiking piece and all the kids are part of their particular Primary, Young Women or Young men group. It should be a lot of fun, and we’ll all be happy when we get through it!
The Young Women had their “Evening of Excellence Program in Sacrament Meeting yesterday, and it was a beautiful program! There was a lot of uplifting, beautiful music. Kalani accompanied on the harp. We had flute and cello as well. The Young Women all did a beautiful job! Afterwards, we had Young Women’s at Sue Harrington’s home where she served a lovely celebration luncheon.
My health is holding out great! I feel so much better than months ago! I’m up early this morning with heartburn–probably because of the steroids which also have made it difficult to stay asleep at night. But I do not complain, I feel so blessed and grateful to find myself feeling healthy and getting stronger–still not running yet, but I think it may be just around the corner!!! Love to all! Melanie
